faulty key fob for ford fiesta

    Hi all Would anyone out there have any knowledge on replacing a remote key fob for a 2006 Mk5 Ford Fiesta. I have been quoted €150 for a replacement key (remote).A friend of mine said he had a new remote fob that he had bought online and never used, he called and recoded it to open and close the car, Great. But it wont start it, he explained that it needed a transponder. Sooo I was wondering if I got a key from a breakers yard could I get that recoded to start the car as well. I would prefer to keep the original key as is in order to have a spare. Thanks in advance.
