Aer Lingus Seat Selection With Newborn.

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience with seats on Aer Lingus flights with a baby.

Booked flights today for June 2022 and my newborn (Not arrived yet - Due in 18 days) will be coming with us (Family wedding). We have the infant listed on our flight and will update it after they are born but it didn't allow us to select seats when we booked.

I called them and asked about seat selection as this is our first child and we want to ensure that we can sit together. Aer Lingus are looking to charge us between €70 and €100 per person per flight to select seats! This is after us paying for the "Advanced" ticket option also which is significantly higher than the standard fair.

We don't care about what type of seat we have we just want to ensure we can sit together during the flight but it just seems our seats will be assigned at random and one of us will be with the baby in one part of the plane and one of us could be somewhere else unless we pay a crazy amount of money. It just doesn't seem right.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks
