    Hi,

I was planning my holiday and looking at albuferia.

Would anyone have recommendations on what to do there. We are a young couple 21 years old.

What would be the cost of eating out/drinks?

    Thanks.

Good spot. Cheap enough in general. Nice beach there too, but the water temperature would be lower than Salou, Majorca, etc.

Some decent waterparks and Zoomarine is worth a day out.

Easy to get to other towns along the Algarve too

When are you going? The Strip (New Town) is party central April - October (ish) and perfect for a young couple, but pretty dead out of season. Old Town is a bit more sedate (albeit 'Bar Street' can be hectic) but has a year round buzz. Prices vary a lot - large beer / "pint" (actually usually 400ml) can probably be got for €1.50 or so in a quiet place in Old Town, but could easily be €3.50 (or more) in the big places on the Strip. Less variation with food prices which are lower than here but not 'cheap cheap' either.

Zoomarine definitely worth a day out - or even two, as you can buy a much discounted pass for a second day when you go there first. Quite family oriented but still lots to do. Get there early if going peak season! I think one of the other water parks has fancier slides etc, can't remember which one.

If you fancy a relaxing day out, Armacao de Pera (just down the coast, about a €20 Uber but you could probably walk if you really wanted to) is similar to Old Town Albufeira but much more 'Portuguese' (one English bar, no Irish bar!) and considerably cheaper to eat / drink. Mobbed with Lisbonites in August.

We are going to Albufeira in the summer with 3 kids ranging from 16 - 7. Can you recommend anything else to do with kid? Zoomarine might be a bit young for our eldest, recommend any water parks nearby? We are staying between the old and new town & looking for a quieter area in the evening, any nice restaurants or pubs? Thanks
