    Hi,

Does anyone know how the proceeds from a UK family trust are taxed in Ireland when the trust is closed and it is distributed.

The trust was setup in the UK by a parent for the benefit of siblings. The trust is to be closed in the UK and distributed. I am interested to know, if CGT or Income tax is applied to the share of the proceeds (post any UK tax and fees) that are given to the Irish resident.

Please let me know if there is a separate thread on Taxation of income from UK investments.

    Thanks.
