    Mod Note

This thread is for posting / discussing /analyzing charts up to T120 ( in the more reliable time frame) for Spring 2022.

If your post does not specifically relate to the charts then it doesn't belong here off topic posts will be moved or deleted- please use the Spring Discussion thread for general chat.

    Thanks

After a very mild and bland winter we move onto the Spring where hopefully we begin moving towards warmer and more Spring like weather.

The following 7 days is now looking unsettled at times although not as unsettled as recent weeks.

Current GFS 6z is a bit uncertain as it tries to build a Scandi high and gets winds into the east towards next weekend, however this option is not well supported by the models.

Less in the way of rainfall than previous weeks but generally 15 to 30mm of rain can be expected over the next 7 to 10 days.

GFS a little out on its own with a very stormy little system affecting western counties in Wednesday morning as a little low moves northward, ECM keeps it much more benign, GEM has it affecting the South coast and then more affecting eastern counties.

Ninja snow for the SE on Wednesday?

Upped the amounts a fair bit on the 6Z this morning!

People in the west and northwest may have a very strong swat of winds later tomorrow morning and over the early afternoon as that low clears northwards. Possibly wind gusting into a orange cretria.

Quite breezy to windy here in Kerry today, looks even windier tomorrow again from the SE.

Not as warm tomorrow but could get up around 14C in the midlands, looks like around 13C here in Kerry.

Really great drying weather, could notice the difference in the lawn today since morning getting firmer underfoot as the day went on. Staying dry with maybe a few very isolated showers on Sunday, some rain overnight Sun into Monday morning but looks like a mostly dry day again Monday and staying mostly dry up to Weds with only a slight risk of a shower if any on Tues.

Great spring weather for the week coming with decent temperatures away from S and E coasts little or no rain over the coming week. Looking up recipes for my new BBQ tonight 😁.

Looks a bit windy again Mon and Tues especially in the SW and W , good fohn effect.

Quite a wet and blustery day tomorrow. temperatures not bad for many, coolest along Atlantic coastal counties.

Good levels of sunshine tomorrow and getting up to the high teens and touching 20C or so in places.

Temps disappointing for Northern and Eastern areas on Sunday but the W and most of Muster not bad maybe getting up between 15 and 18C or so.

Cool for many on Monday, the best further S and looks like only getting up to 14 or 15C, cool night to follow and wouldn't be surprised if there was a touch of frost in sheltered N counties.

Tues and Weds getting up to the mid teens away from N counties.

The models are gone back to showing low levels of rainfall again. In general the winds on the light side , a bit windy along the coasts on Sunday and breezy overland giving a wind chill with winds coming from a N'ly direction.

Astonishing how fast that HP cell moved over us and up to Iceland - when you think that HP which killed last winter hardly moved for nearly 2 months just off our SW!!

Both GFS and ECM showing better temperatures than earlier runs with a quicker return to milder conditions starting Weds on into the weekend.

Rainfall amounts generally low away from Northern counties, maybe a bit too low for some farmers. In general winds light.
