It's a payday, yeay! not from the bookies though but from the corporation I work for 😂 Right, weather is awful and I'm not that keen on cooking cleaning and sorting this evening, so I started browsing tomorrow's flat cards which I never normally do, and this one caught my eye in 5:30 Wolves - Seraphinite 8/1, a bit short for my liking but I just can't let it go. She went very close over CD 2 runs ago when had to switch around 3 horses to get the clear view of the winning post, and was beaten only by 1/2 length. She was stuck wide out of the wide draw over CD the next time and her latest run was in class 3 contest, this is class 5 contest and she's down another 2lb. ETA: Atiyah is worthy favorite and will probably take this but we risk it for a biscuit.

    5.00 Wolves

a couple that are towards top of betting in International Law ~ 4/1 and ~The Game Is On ~15/2 that I think are drawn too wide - in boxes 12 & 11 respectively - to have solid claims here, so can will overlook them on that basis, as their tasks will be that much harder, at least for win purposes in this.

Kingson ~ 9/2 has won a similar race under today's jockey Mr Eireann Cagney, when he won at Newcastle two runs back, as well as being a previous C & D winner, and is reasonably well drawn in 7, but seems short enough to me anyhoo,

Smokey Malone ~ 4/1 is one of the 'interesting' ones that I'll no be backing here. A lto winner at Chelmsford over 10f, and out of his 19 runs to date, he has 3 wins and 7 places to his name. Good claims on paper, but it's the lack of any form on the Tapeta surfaces that is a bit of a concern. I might change my mind and go win on him yet as he's won on the turf, fibresand and polytrack, so likely he'll handle the Wolverhampton sand today..

2 picks here,, one shorty 2 win, and an each way outsider... three picks now!

CLASSY DAME 11/4 Boyles/Lads win,, short enough, and if he's shorter than price quoted come shop time, I think I'll leave him off

a good jockey and a low draw in box 4.. doesn't have much course form and is short enough, so a small win bet here..

    LEXINGTON BULLET 28/1 PP/Lads/Boyles ew

some decent enough turf form over shorter trips,, first time on the AW and her first time going further than a mile are question marks tbs, but she's a big price and is drawn well in stall no 3.

Think I'll do KINGSON 9/2 gen win as a third pick here,, I have now convinced myself of his claims, and will hope they're better than that of the 'interesting' looking Smokey Malone 😄

    GL :)

j@utis has convinced me on t'chances of Atiyah in the 5.30,, think Gay Kellaway's C & D winner Scale Force ~ 15/2 is a good price, but the wide draw is offputting,,

Will do Atiyah 10/3 in an ew double with Hot Diggity Dog 2/1 in the 6 o'c.. probably be more suited by 6fs, but is drawn low enough here to make him of interest,, not a great price but 't'ill do,, the Dawg was ~ 3/1 before shoppe opened, and if i hadn't a picked him out before he was trimmed, tis likely i'd have left him off... poor value ones do oblige too ats 😂

Kingson is on the drift and is now 13/2 and I think he is very backable, CD winner, 11f was perhaps a bit too far for him last time, PP is paying 4 places in this one, so let's do it. It is a very trappy affair and you can make a strong case for each of them in top 4 in the betting. Small e/w.

done Kingson win at 5s,,, have enough bets in that race 😁 woulda been tempted to back him ew if I saw 13/2 tho!

And one more for today to get the required daily dose of buzz: Cityjet 10/3 in 6:30 Wolves to overturn the red hot favorite. He made an eye catching debut here last time, that race produced another 2 winners so far, although not in such a high class as fav but boost to the form regardless. Let's see how Witch Hunters 2yo form pans out today, and hope he's not quite ready yet in this warm-up race for the season.

Gluck with Cityjet j@u ,, 10/3 looks a good price anyroad for him to beat the on the drift ~ 2/7 jolly Witch Hunter, who couldn't manage a win in three starts (all in better races than this tbf),, might warrant another walk intee town, after I take a well deserved break from doin nowt, if Cityjet price the same later on :)

I wanted to be bullish on the chances of ~ 10/11 shot Base Note in 7.00 Wol 😃, but I had to do my due diligence and look at the rest, and I think Ask Peter has claims here at 10/1 Lads for MJ here; as her lto run over 2f shorter at Lingfield can give punters hope that she can prevail in this 4hrse race..

am not seeing why Last Ammo is 13/8 second favourite for this, being as he flopped over 1f shorter at Southwell lto 😕,, but then again am not an odds compiler, and I'm sure their collective know more than me,,, still i'd have him as a lay up to 2/1 myself..

last thought for a while,, Jenny Ren 7.30 Wol might be worth 50c ew at 20/1 PP,, price is a fair representation of her chances here in replicating, or improving upon her run over C & D on her penultimate outing, which saw her come third.. GL

Right here we go. Forget Cheltenham for the time being. I'm after having a monster bet in the next at Carlisle.

1.35 Carlisle, rightplacerighttime, currently around 10/11. I absolutely cannot see this horse winning here. I've layed the hell out of it the past while. Hacked up at fairyhouse not so long ago, leading all the way. Off 130 in its first handicap and I can't see it winning. Won't get it all its own way today. Small weak race but still not interested in it. Lay bet for me.

Last bet on tbe uk racing.

In the 3.0 at Plumpton malinas Island is getting absolutely hammered in the betting. Currently around 5/4 from much bigger odds, some are backing it heavy, but in my opinion it won't win.

The horse used to be a handicap snip, but steadily rising and might be reaching the end of its tether for the time being at least.

Lay bet for me, can't see it winning.

Another good pick that Malinas Island there Goat in 3 o'c.

have done good ew bet on Cityjet @ 11/4, with money back if 2nd tae jolly in Spoils.... 1/5 w/o in Paddys and 1/4 to come in firsttwo, so no tempted to go in on them odds 😃

Super call there, Probert was back on for a reason!

Think the Ormer Gatherer is a cracking e/w bet in the 8.00 at 40/1, not been getting home over further and was too keen last time

No doubt some fingers burned there on the gamble, incredible price in the end for Million Reasons though

He looks like one for the notebook alright, that Million Reasons... didn't travel the best, and his head seemed all over the place at times in t'race,, jockey must have felt he was wanting to go too quick,, then he hits the front too soon and seemed to find plenty up the stretch to see off two close pursuers,, looks well handicapped nowadays anyroad,, seems to be liking the AW nowadays whereas he didn't show much when he tackled it earlier in his career

85/40 surely does look very big now after the race,, price was no doubt bolstered by the big gambles going on there 😊 he's entered to run again at Newcastle this Friday (over 6fs this time) , and it will be interesting to see if he participates,, would have (I presume) a big weight on his back with double penalties and such

wouldn't be surprised if there was a coordinated attempt by books to shorten eventual 2nd + 3rd favourites in that race,, neither of them looked to have legitimate winning claims on form, tho Macs Dilemma 5/2 did go close enough...

someone mentioned Dusky Prince who came 4th in 6 o'c.. Seb reckons he's one for notebook, a good judge is Seb 😊 Dusky Prince and Million Reasons will both be gettin notebook treatment from me,, connections of both will doubtless be glad to see that this is the case 😄

on puntin front not a bad day at all, with that big priced winner putting me in profit - yippee!

might take tomorrow off tee celebrate 😆

Great day for the thread with some juicy winners above and few going into notebooks as guaranteed winners nto.
