    Hi All,

Have a Beko Washer / Dryer WDA 91440 W . It was plugged into the mains (not switched on) when we had a power cut over the weekend. When power came back on, and the machine was switched on, the digital display reads "wait on cooling" & the door is locked.

I can unlock the door by unplugging from the mains, waiting ~15 mins, plugging it back in & can open the door between the machine powering on, and door lock being reinstated (about 2 or 3 seconds).

The machine can go through complete cycles without issue, but when the cycle ends it's back to "wait for cooling", and same scenario as outlined to open the door. There is no excess heat which is legitamely generating this error.

To try and resolve the issue I have:

    • Left machine unplugged from mains for +24hrs
    • Pressed the start/ Stop + On/ Off buttons similtanously for +30 seconds
    • Searched the internet - only found one post here, but no solution
    • Cleared air filter ( really nothing to clean out)
    • Cleaned pump filer (nothing there either)
    • Ran through a dry cycle as advised on the manual to allow excess heat to disapate (there was no excess heat) but did it anyway

All efforts have end in the same message on the display.

Has anyone any advice, as to how to resolve this? Any suggestions great ly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, SparrowHawk

If you go on you tube and type in beko washer reset it will show you the procedure of how to to go through the different error codes, it may have stored a code to make it behave this way or there may be a component damaged, if itshows a code memories it as it will relate to the particular issue.

thanks for the advice Red Ace - didn't find any videos specific to my model, so tried a few "resets" following other videos - no joy 😥

However, after a few cycles it seems to have sorted itself out - machine unlocks the door when expected, all seems to be working 🤞

    thanks again,

    SH
