    Short answer, yes.

Long answer, if you're planning to get a new category D license you'll need to do the relevant theory test (100 questions I think) and the CPC case studies, only 45 questions but a lot harder than the theory test, at least for me it was.

and is it the same for the practical test two separate tests?

Unless it's changed the driving test and CPC are done together. CPC part is basically doing your walk around checks and a couple of questions. I did it a few years ago now, so may well have changed in the mean time. Good luck.

    ^^^^^

i presume you got your licence? if so any luck getting a job out of it? btw - how much did you end up forking out?

The two theory tests (theory & CPC), €75 each. Six lessons at €100 a time and the test €120.

I only wanted a minibus license for some voluntary work I'm involved with but the instructor advised me to do the full bus test as it covers all the smaller units and, "it's always handy to have."

It's not easy but if you keep your wits about you and it's passable on first go.

If you're unemployed it's worth looking at the back to work courses available.

I've been quoted €150 for a hour and a half lesson, must be the high fuel costs
