I had an epiphany last night.

I NEVER bet on international races, aside from the odd flutter on Meydan, but I decided to have a flutter on races in USA last night (also one apiece in Brazil & Uruguay).

I placed 10 bets and had 7 winners. All singles, none of my usual trebles or any of that crack.

It was very much a "take the point, the goals will come."

    So with that being said...

My first bet of the day is Silver Flyer (Carlisle 14.25) single. He had them gasping for oxygen three furlongs out at Catterick last time out and won easing down. Brian Hughes & Donald McCain are one of the greatest combinations in horse racing and they're sizzling at the moment. Monbeg Genius is certainly no joke but I can't go against Hughes & McCain given the form they're in.

Not digging too deep today, I'm on these two in Newcastle this evening: 6:30 Western Music 10/3 lightly raced, seems to be in form, winning readily in Southwell last time, 5:30 Engles Rock 11/4, in my notebook for a good 3th here lto when slightly no clear run, has won over CD and should be able to win of current mark. GL.

I'll not bet another dime on British & Irish racing.

    I'm taking my custom stateside.

    Please don't go...

I'm getting super adventurous today (because I'm sick not feeling like doing anything else) and placed a bet down on Collective Power in Dundalk 3:15😂

Having a bit e/w on father's advice in the 3.35 at Carlisle. Ran well in novice hurdles last few times and handicap mark could be lenient.

Only eight runners so good e/w bet at around 12/1

Collective Power 2nd, annoying but got my money back (almost) which I'm very keen to re-invest in Dundalk 4:45 race where PP is paying 4 places. My pick is Cherry Bloom who ran a very good 2nd here over 7f and is left off the same mark today, she was beaten by Pandemic Princess back in december but now is a bit better in weights and if she closely follows the princess back home, that's fine by me.

Cherry Bloom a good third but I should've gone with Pandemic Princess, I knew it! I think it's enough of fun for me in Dundalk, just before my luck runs out.

Think Cathayensis is worth a euro e/w at 28/1 5.30 Newcastle, unexposed course winner.

    Nabbed on the line!

Another good e/w bet in the 6.00, Latenightmistake at 16/1. Only horse to have run against males lto and not disgraced. Neither of the favourites have run on the course so only need one of them to bomb out to secure a return on the bet.

Queen of Burgundy for me in the 6.30, first run for Mick Appleby here, always like to see a new trainer book a jockey who's ridden the horse before. Been running in far better company than she faces here.

Good call there in 6pm race, 16/1 too, I wished I was on.

I like Triggered in the 7.00. Been running well at Southwell but think this should be more his course

Bit of good info in the USA. 22.24 golden gate, the fav at around even money will win - casino games. Still a few minutes to off. If anyone can get on I'd advise it. Bit of inside info.

That race could have been at Newcastle in deepest, darkest, winter.

Fave & 2nd fave were shocking.
