    3.05 Newbury SHAKEM UP'ARRY 5/2 Boyles/Lads Nap

4th chase start, a winner over 2m on soft two runs back, didn't fare so well lto over 2 1/2m and is back down to a more suitable trip here.. Should be able to chase the pace (seems almost half the field look like likely leaders here 😋) ,, will like the soft ground too, and it's difficult to say that about them all.. looks as though he could very well go off at a shorter price,, ~ 13/8 sp wouldn't be a massive surprise.. will hope for a good run from Ben Pauling's beasht here..

At a bigger price, and in the same race, Goa Lil @ 8s gen might make a shape, or flatter to deceive, but might be worth a little each way as can potentially get involved in this too. C & D winner from 2 runs back in a lesser race, and on slightly better ground. Time was nowt special mind...

    😊 GL

    2.20 Navan

    Will go with two here.

    DARVER STAR 3/1 Spoils/Lads win

Goes well at this trip, as well as on soft ground. Has come 2nd and first in his last two runs, which should see him go close if those are replicated. A very open race this, and the odds aint too generous, but as Rupert says: "A 10/1 value shot that loses is still a loser"... Something has to win, and there's a few that might go well upped in trip, so wouldn't be going o'erboard backing this jolly here.

    GENTLEMANS GAME 16/1 PP ew

Some good runs over the obstacles in early part of last year.. hasn't fared so well the last twice - 3m on soft probably not suitable, perhaps.. Has plenty of equipment on tomorrow, and is back down in trip.. 6yrs old so improvement a distinct possibility too..

    3.40 Newbury

    CASA TALL ~ 4/1 ew

Good form behind Harry's horse lto.. If Shakem Up'arry wins the race previous, Casa Tall's odds could well shorten. has never won on soft ground but shouldn't be too far away (hopefully)

    LE LIGERIEN ~ 15/2 win

A C & D winner on heavy from 2yrs ago. Not the most reliable and prone to an odd jumping error. Was a good 2nd lto at Uttoxeter.

OUT ON THE TEAR ~ 6/1 ew

Came third lto when he might have hit the front too soon.

Am hoping the favourite Another Crick ~ 11/4 has a bad day at the office and want to be against him.. was a bit keen lto and still won.. will hope that the big weight on his back will do for his chances in this...

oddschecker (or me dog 😃) playing up atm, so I can't get exact prices.

The 2.55 , 3.30 and 4.40 Navan are all big field handicaps, and quite a few ew picks could likely be found..

Too much work involved so will not bother looking at them..

That's enough studying done, and I will watch the Women's Curling Final - whenever it starts.. soon enough, I think..

Come on Eve and Team GB !

Navan off Storm Franklin on the way, the met office could have named in Storm Frankel!

    Shame about Navan.

    River Walk (Musselburgh 14.15)

    Shakem Up'arry (Newbury 15.05)

    9/1

Leffesem's OP has swung me 'round to 'Arry.

If Amarillo Sky wins, Leffesem is going on the blocklist.
