Wiring a switch "on"

Hi folks, I have a two gang switch and I only need to be able to switch one of those circuits, the other stays on all the time. I have a one gang smart switch that I want to replace it with. My question is can I just connect the live to the neutral on the "always on" circuit and forget about it so i can use this smart switch to control the circuit i want?

    Advice appreciated!

Don't connect live to neutral anyway.

You need to put the brown switch wire with the live supply wire.

    Both brown.

Have you checked you have a neural at the switch ?

OK brilliant. Thanks for this. Yep have a neutral. Need that for the smart switch.
