    Hi,

I am in the US at the moment and was considering the possibility of buying the s22 ultra american version with the snapdragon rather than getting the european version back in Ireland.

My concern is around the frequency differences. Should i expect a US phone to work in Ireland hassle free?

    Thank you

id be concerned regarding 5G bands, similarly buying Asian market snapdragons had issues with euro 5G bands in past Samsung devices, best to do some research albeit a bit early since the phone isn't fully in the wild yet

    You are right . US carriers use N41 / N71 / N260 / N261 bands.

    Irish carriers use only N78.

However for 3g/4g should be ok? B1, B3,B8 and B20 seem to be shared across both US models and EU.

i would be cautious, i remember prior samsung devices which were non-eu had 4g issues with carrier aggregation, personally it stopped me going for a bit cheaper models (with snapdragon chipset) and just buy EU models, but that's me

If dual sim is important ,check that it actually does .

I know some of the US models only have single sims for some reason .
