skirting boards

Hi All

Putting down floors, whole house expect kitchen and bathroom. Asked the flooring company to include skirting but was shocked at the price of the skirts. Any recommendations as to the best place a DIYer would pick these up at reasonable cost? Or a best approach...

Looking for a very basic square profiled skirting board.. primed not primed I don't really care..

Any builder providers will sell you chamfered skirting quite cheap. If you buy it in long lengths prime and paint it with a roller outside before fitting, then just touch up anything inside and calk along the top. Painting it outside with a roller will take no time at all.

I've done skirting boards and they aren't too tricky so I'd do them myself too. You can find some helpful tips on https://skirtingsrus.co.uk/guides-and-help-blog/

And, do the wallpapering yourself. It's easy, and you don't exactly need a lot of equipment.
