I know this forum is for home security but could not find one for business's so please move to appropriate form if needed mods...

Anyways I am looking for recommendation for a wireless security cam for a small business unit.

I need something that can be viewed remotely, has local storage and/or cloud option, good clear images (1080 or 2k) and motion sensors. Other features I would like but not a deal breaker would be night vision, 2way audio and anything else you may think appropriate, open to suggestions!

Looking to keep costs below £100

    Thanks

Ring have basic single cameras that use wifi to connect, they record on the cloud and they have a phone app. They have motion alerts and audio. They are not intended for outdoors. They have an outdoor model. Note they really need power, while some models have rechargeable batteries, they won't last long.

Make sure staff/customers are aware of audio + video recording and put up appropriate signage.

Often these are sold at below cost, as it's the monthly cloud costs that make them money. Without the monthly fee the cameras can't record anything so they are useless except for motion alerts and live view.

If you are serious on getting a good system local recording with remote access with no monthly fees would be better. The constant sending video to the cloud will use up your internet bandwidth all day long if motion detected. They delete the footage after 30 days so if you want to go back to check employees or something damaged or missing you only can go back 30 days.

I presume its outdoors? I've owned three wireless cameras, my requirements are similar to yours. However, none of the cameras I got were within your budget though, I think you might find it hard to get one for those specs. But some notes on them below.

    1. Ring Spotlight camera - came highly recommended to me, and seemed to match all I was looking for. But when I set it up I simply couldn't get it to pick up motion and send alerts. Maybe I got a dud. But after a day or so I returned it for a refund. I was tempted to try this out again after I sold on the Arlo.
    2. Arlo Pro 3 - decent camera. I found the app would go offline a bit though. Has both the local storage (using a Hub) and cloud option. I always used the cloud storage, €5.50 a month I think. Used it for about a year and it worked as expected and I didn't have many issues bar the image at night wasn't the best which was a let down for the price. Got about 7 months from the battery, but obviously than will depend on number of recordings per day. My main issue was I had two cameras and I couldn't position the Hub in a location that both cameras could connect to it. So one camera was constantly offline so it worked out very expensive for me. So I sold it on.
    3. Google Nest - Bought this a few weeks ago, very easy to set up and works perfectly. No need for a hub etc, just connect straight to wifi. I think you'll need the cloud subscription to get the full value, I haven't signed up to it yet. The night vision on this is much better than the Arlo. One gripe is there is no dedicated app for the live view, its a bit of a pain having to access it through the Google Home app.

That's a high level overview, I'm sure others have tried and tested other cameras, and maybe some other better value options. I think I saw the Circle 2 mentioned a few times on here as well. But any specific questions just ask, or drop me a PM.

Thanks for the rec, much appreciated! Trying not to have a monthly sub cost for now, something we can look at in the future when we have a bigger or more units!

Have had a look at these, seems like just what I need. Thinking the Tapo C210 with the additional local storage will suffice! Added to the shortlist, thanks for the rec!

Have a few of their models on my shortlist already, thanks for the rec!

Its for an indoor food unit but the above may be something I can consider for home, thanks for the rec!
