Help with feature on historic 6" map

Hi,
I'm curious about a mound that used to exist near my home that is visible on the historic 6" map. I've looked at the relevant symbol sheet on the UCD site (sorry I'm not permitted to post links yet) and I'm not sure which symbol it is a match for or if there is anything more that can be said about it. Can anyone clarify this for me or suggest what it could have been? Also, is that a well or spring beside it?
