Heat Merchants

I'm in the market for a new ensuite. It's the first time I've done this and the choice of sanitary ware, shower enclosures etc is a bit bamboozling. A plumber has given me a Heat Merchants catalogue and as some of it is cheaper than what I've seen in shops, I'm wondering about the quality. I don't want to skimp for the safe of few hundred but it's difficult to know what the difference is. I'd picked out a Lecico toilet and basin, and there's a choice between Merlyn Mycro and Rosery pivot shower enclosures. I can see that Tubsntiles has some of the items on their website. Would I better off going to them or going supply and fit with the plumber? Or just going for different choices? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
