Our girl is living with two of her pups, who are 6 months old. She's on diet food as she's about 1.5 kg over weight. It's not progressing well.

I've caught her eating her pups poo (not the post birth behaviour, but current practice).

At the very least it's unhygienic. It also runs across all attempts to control her diet, quality and quality. They share the kitchen and enclosed garden, so it's impossible to collect the poo quickly all the time.

Any ideas? Is it normal? Can it be prevented? It would be very awkward to isolate the pups from the mum until my daughter gets her own house, a 2022 project (yeah, right....).
