I start the odd new thread on here every now and again when a car question pops into my head. Hope you guys aint fed up with the questions. Anyway - of your previous cars, what do you think would be worth the most today. Mine isn't very exciting, probably my old civic sir about €8k or my old levin bzr priced in around the same.

    Hoping for some interesting answers

1998 Toyota Glanza V. Was absolutely spotless and came with some very nice mods from Japan. Stolen off my drive and stripped for parts no doubt.

Was alot of jap imports stolen back in the day, even my old toyota levin bzr. Was the glanza insured

Yeah was pretty common and didn't help that you could get into Jap cars of that era with a childs tool box! Yeah, was insured thankfully.

Have never bought an expensive car ... my car history is :

    1989 Honda Civic 1.6i DOHC 3 dr Jap Import - €4500

1992 Honda Civic 1.5 Saloon Jap Import - €4500 - that was nicked

    1993 Honda Civic 1.5 Saloon Jap Import - €4500

1998 Honda Civic 1.4 Saloon Irish Car - €5000 - that was written off in a car crash (I was rear ended while stationary at traffic lights)

    Replaced it with a a 1998 Honda Civic 1.4 Saloon Irish Car - €5000 😂

2000 Mitsubishi Colt - €6500 - got sick of the 3 drs - wanted to go back to a saloon.

    2001 Honda Civic 1.4 Saloon Irish Car - €5000

2002 2.0 Honda Accord - €3300 - drove that until is was uneconomical to repair so scrapped it for €102

2007 2.0 Honda Accord - €4000 current car - hope to get another year out of this then look to change. Based on the way the second hand market is gone , looks like I'll be buying my most expensive car next time.

Lancia Delta Integrale (8v, mk1), back in 1993 iirc. Kept it 6 months and sold it for same money. Can’t remember how much, but it wasn’t much at all (relative to std depreciated value then). It was riddled with faulty electrics and spent more time getting fixed than driven. Would be serious money nowadays.

My Dad trumps me by an intergalactic mile. He got a Porker 356SC for a song in the late 70s, gave it a frog green respray, then sold it on within months…for not much more than that song!

Our late mk1 MX5 is starting to appreciate nicely, though. Paid the going main dealer rate for a 1 lady (-Doctor)-owned 1998 low-miler in 2001, in preference to an MGF, and after years and years of sub-pennies residual value, it’s slowly coming back towards even money 20 years on (…not factoring inflation in!)

It's an Irish 2.0 TYPE S 4DR with half leather seats, upgraded alloys. No after market kit or anything like that ... similar to this without the rear spoiler and mines a darker navy colour. I'm the second owner , genuine 265000 KM's ... bought it about 6yrs ago from a VW Dealer in Waterford who had taken it as a trade in and wanted to flip it fast. Due it's NCT next month but starting to give me little problems (electrical) so hoping to get it to pass, get another year out of it and then get something different. Would love to stick with Accords but only diesels available from about 2010 onwards , and I dont need a diesel as I don't do long commutes. Genuinely haven't a clue what to look at next.

    Used to own this

Mazda xedos 6 2.0 V6. Still regretting selling her. Wonder how much would she be worth these days.

@xhomelezz nice, wasnt many of them about. Sneaky impreza wagon in the background of that picture ha ha

That Impreza is gone too, was just 1.6 but nippy enough and great handling too.

Tried to get another xedos years ago, but whatever showed up on done deal was pretty much rubbish. Should have kept that one..

That was good old times, when I was able to change cars like socks, because for a thousand bucks, there was always something interesting to buy and try.. Now I'm stuck with c class for over three years and looks like I'll keep it for another while.

I sold my Sierra Cosworth (Sapphire) probably at the low point of their values, for something like 5k, going for many times that now.

Probably my 2015 Passat SEL. Traded it in under Dieselgate for pure financial reasons but VW diesels still have a very strong following around these parts. Seems like about $15k right now.

The 2002 Camaro I sold back in about 2012 is currently about $8k, more than my A6 Avant 2004, $6k. A 97 Tbird LX which I had 2000-2003 is about $2k.

4.6 V8. Cranked out all of 205hp. Was a surprisingly good car, though.
