Cannot disable AD on Saorview Connect box!

I cannot for the life of me disable audio description on the Saorview Connect box!! So frustrating!

I've been trying to watch Line of Duty S1 E1 and the box insists on giving me the audio description whether I want it or not.

Can anyone please shed some light on this for me?

Is there an AD (audio description) button on the remote bottom right ?

Are you using the original remote ?

The answer is Yes to both questions. If I select AD Off in the player app before playing the AD comes on regardless. If I play the programme then pressing the AD button has no effect.

If you press INFO on the remote and select FEATURES can you disable/enable AD.

Although this may be just for live TV.

When watching the android RTE Player there is an AD option on the bottom right of the video screen - the headphone 🎧 icon.

Maybe you might have a similar option.

By the way I have never used the connect box 🙂

Yeah tried that but still the same. Reckon I'll just give up on this! Box is a total disaster anyway.

Sure did. Even did a factory reset all to no avail.
