    Hi,

Looking to build a pc for a buddy to play HLL with me (he has monitor & accessories so just the computer). Tried to buy a Dell optiplex with a 1650 for 700GBP but they won't ship it here and dell.ie/shop doesn't sell anything with a dedicated GPU for under 2k. So where should I go to buy? I'm not interested in building it myself because I will be hounded to support it if I do. Thanks in advance. I'm looking for basic specs

    1650 GPU

    10400 i5

    16GB Ram

    256/512 SSD

    Hey,

You might have better luck posting in the Pc building and upgrading forum. I have an ancient i5-2500k, GTX1060, 8Gb Ram and HLL runs perfectly for me at high settings.

Ask about prebuilds there. Dell pc's are fairly un-upgradable. GPU prices seem to be going down too. Overclockers.co.uk are one worth a look maybe. PCSpecialist I think are another. 700GBP would get you a decent system if HLL is as far as your friend is going to push it.

Don't rule out buying used, I got my daughter a PC from adverts for Christmas [she knew I was buying it used, she got a brand new monitor, kb/mouse etc] Ryzen 2600 with a GTX 1060 and 1TB SSD, everything looks like new internally - seller built it himself and you could tell it was well looked after. €700, which I think was very decent value, just got to scout around - only look to sellers with all positive feedback. I paid a chunk more for a similar system from the UK pre-Brexit, only real difference was I got the 2600x and GTX 1660
