    Hi,

Has anyone looked into the new retrofit scheme, the SEAI site isn’t great?

I was looking at internal insulation, triple glazing and a new boiler, but it looks like the savings are very small way off the 50% in the headlines?

    The Start.

It's just been announced so I think will take a few weeks for sites to be updated to show new higher % grants amounts.

I hope you are right as they are way off 50% savings

We just had a guy out. Wanted €3000 to insulate the attic but you get a grant. I'll do it myself cheaper than even with the grant.

Then asked him about the retrofit. He said you would need to spend €100k to get back €25k.

Asked him how much to blow in the wall insulation in the cavities. €6k minus grant.

We actually got that done 10 years ago for €700.

Going to have a few more come out and see what they say.
