Can anyone drive a car with mobility controls ?

My car is being repaired & i need a car asap, i know someone i with a car they can loan me but its been kitted out by mobility Ireland with hand controls but you can still drive it normally ,

Will my insurance cover that or do i need to declare it also have hand controls. I won't be using the hand controls but also i won't be removing them from the car as i only have a lend of it ,

The only people who can answer will be your insurance company. IIRC a steering knob is illegal for most vehicles so if it's got one of them it could be an issue since you don't require one.
