Future Dated Policy - when is Card typically charged?

    Trying to switch a family member's car insurance to Allianz. Last Thursday, I completed the new business quote online, put in the credit card details etc all accepted.

    I was expecting to see something on the credit card bill - but nothing yet.

    The policy doesn't come into force for another week. Is it more usual for the card to be charged closer to that date?
