BMW Service Inclusive - worth it?

    Hey folks,

I just bought a brand new BMW, and I was offered this pre-paid service package called BMW Service Inclusive. It can only be bought during the first 30 days of registration, and it will include some basic services for 5 years / 100,000km. Basic services are oil services, filter services, brake fluid. One-time cost is €800.

I cannot post a link as I'm a new user, but you can google bmw service inclusive ireland and it will point you to the BMW webpage with detailed description of this service.

Do you think it is worth it? This is my first BMW - are oil services and filter services THAT expensive in a BMW so that these €800 would pay off?

You can see how much the maintenance would otherwise cost at https://www.bmwservice.ie/ it might be worth your while if the services included in the €800 plan cost more than €800.

I would think that’s definitely worth it… u want to keep the value of your car up by goin with main dealership services and I doubt you would get that value if you were to pay for individual services over 5 years. When it says 5 years does it specify 5 services ? Or anything about mileage ?

It's not 5 services in 5 years. The car will tell you when a service item is due whether it be time or mileage based. Usually the first service is a small or mini service where the oil and oil filter is changed. The second service usually involves more such as fuel filter, pollen filter, etc.

From a main dealer the second service can be really expensive so you might find the service inclusive pack works out cheaper but it really depends on how long you plan to keep the car and what sort of annual mileage you are doing. It's for 5 years or 100,000km, whichever you reach first. The service inclusive pack used to be around €500 or €600 on most average models which made it a no brainer but alas like everything now the price has gone up.
