    Hi Guys

My spouse was offered a job by CRH they said they would put her at the top of the job pay scale, however would they pay her cost of living increases?

I am asking this question as now we’re now in an inflation era.

    Any response appreciated

They are pretty rare in Ireland IME....who mentioned 'Cost of living increase'?

Employers will say that they pay you based on the value of your work, not on the rate of inflation.

I accept that there are labour shortages and a scarcity of good 'talent', but even still...

I suspect your spouse will need to negotiate on an individual basis...
