Our electricity recently went out for 2 hours. We had a fire on when it happened and someone told me we should have put the fire out because we have a back boiler & you shouldn't have a fire on when the electric goes out. Is this true? Thanks.

This has nothing to do with boards.ie. Try asking in a forum that's related to the topic instead, such as the Plumbing and Heating forum:
