Hi all, if you buy a house in a gated community with management fees etc, will you generally be allowed to put on solar panels and things like that?

You'd need to see the community rules to be honest. Most estates with an omc will have a set.

Most have rules against altering the external appearance, which solar panels would be.
If there's rules against something you want to do, walk away. Don't buy with a view to trying to get the rules changed.
