    Hi,

In the middle of some rennovation work on the house and the new window and slider door have been delivered (to our agreed spec!) and we now realise that the interior colour is not what we would prefer.

Realistically what options do we have: a. live with them b. pay the same cost again to get the correct colour c. paint them?

Anyone any clever options or experiences to share of similar situations......

Are they uPVC, aluclad, wooden framed?

There are a few companies that specialise in spraying uPVC frames. It is cheaper than getting completely new frames/windows.

As for the quality of results, I can't say.

A quick Google search brings up companies that do this.

Many thanks, the windows are uPVC and I did see a number of companies saying they provide the servcice but I wonder about end results - I wonder is it very obvious that they are not original colour or can it look 100% OEM if done right?

I don't want to make things worse by doing a shoddy job on painting them.

I've used Frenchic paint on my own uPVC front door. It's a job that requires plenty of prep but when done correctly? IMO gives an excellent finish, it is a lot of work tho.

I am also in a similar situation, so unfortunately I can't advise on end quality etc. I am looking to change the colour of uPVC frames but as they are relatively new windows I couldn't justify replacing them for new ones.

The website pictures look OEM quality, but that doesn't really mean anything. Also longevity of the finished result is also a major question. I'm sorry that I couldn't be more help.

I will keep an eye on this thread for any advice from others.

Any advice on how the results hold up, or for how long?

18 months in and it still looks near perfect IMO.
