    Does anybody have the wiring guide for eircom master socket please.

    The main copper pair from the incoming Eir line should go to the L1 and L2 (on the screw terminals) IIRC. If its not working out for you, chances are the socket took an overvoltage from lightening etc. Though judging from the pic it looks like you are extending/moving tan existing working line.
