hi all,just had my 161 rav4 in for a pre nct,161,188km on clock,was told all fine except crankshaft pulley is making noise,and will get worse,i have the nct in a week,so will that fail the test?the garage boys said it should be ok to pass,is this a major engine problem?i try my best to look after this car,and have it serviced on time etc,should i be worried about this thing?thanks folks

Not an issue for the test but many other systems depends on the crankshaft pulley. Your alternator and AC are both driven off this.

It shouldn't affect your test but I'd certainly get it done as soon as you can. Did they give you a price?

hi,no they never said a price,but after the test ill book it in regardless of cost,it will have to be done anyway
