3.50 Leicester CONCRETE KING 5/1 Boyles Nap

A four times ptp winner. Is having his 5th run under rules and 4th in total over hurdles. Soft ground should be fine. Question is, will it be soft enough. I think he looks the one most likely to run his race regardless, based on his second lto at Lingfield on soft to heavy.. He wasn't beaten too far the time before that on good to soft. Both those runs were on similar trips to today's. Soft ground should definitely not hinder him anyhow. There are other horses in here who can't be overlooked eg Punxsutawney Phil and Iron Horse, but, at the prices, the selection will do for me... Gets the Nap cos he has a good chance of being there or thereabouts on his 4th hurdles' run on soft, and looks maybe a point and a half bigger than what he might be.

    Gluck

7:00 Kempton, Almufeed was gambled on last two outing like he was a sure thing and he won both. He's hot favorite today too but the current rise in ratings and class might be enough to stop him. I'll go with Elmejor to deny Almufeed a hattrick. Only two for me today, another one is leff's pick. GL.

Was going to back him win when he was at 5s.. Time I ambled down to shop he was 6s (7s now - that's not v encouraging 😊) , so I doubled my outlay and went each way on Concrete King.

He was 3/1-7/2 earlier, so while he drifted out to a respectable price, it's getting a bit worrisome now - hope he's not sick, or is just going for a day out...

Fergal O'Brien's recent recruit Electron Blue is getting hammered. From 4/1 into 9/4 jolly now.. Hasn't got any outstanding form, and his recent form is only middling, but maybe Fergal's eked out some improvement from his horse, and expects him to go very well today..

Punxsutawney Phil is also been well bet in this race, having gone from 9/2 into a general 11/4 and best priced 3/1 shot. Not fully sure that he'll like the ground though..

Iron Horse has drifted out to a general 11/1 shot, from 11/2. He's 11 now, and he came a good 2nd lto after a long layoff. That run would see him look overpriced, but maybe he won't run a similar race as last time..

Pittsburg has also drifted in the betting.. Maybe he'd prefer better ground, or this is what the market thinks. Not too hard to overlook anyway..

Gerolamo Cardano has also drifted a bit, and is now a 13/2 shot.. Trip and ground should be okay, but he appears likely to fall short in this.. Difficult to see him winning anyhow...

Have looked at no other races today... I'd nearly be tempted to go back down the shop, and have a good bit on the selection Concrete King to come placed, if 5/4 or better is on offer to come in first three.. Probably won't even see the race, so will settle with me each way bet in this..

    Gluck

Best of luck with Elmejor j@utis ....Only looked at the two you mentioned - looks a very tricky race, with a few of these having very good form figures in recent runs.. plenty of 1s , 2s and 3s to the opposition's names, from their last 3-4 runs..

Not a race I tried to solve, as done plenty damage yesterday backing about 20 at Ffos Las.. 😅 Still, I somehow managed to get about 2/3s back from total staked..

I don't know who backed Almufeed in 7.00, but none of that money came from me! Two good runs at a different course in Wolverhampton, in two classes lower, and from pretty much making all, is a long way from making Almufeed a best priced 7/4, and general 6/4-13/8 shot for this Kempton Class 4, imo.. If I was a bookie, I'd be definitely laying him for plenty at 13/8 - but I'm not a bookie..am merely a poor punter :) 😁 His one run at Kempton is no great shakes, but maybe he has improved from his recent frontrunning tactics,, not enough to make him a short-priced fav tho...

Don't know if Elmejor will win, but looking at his two recent Chelmsford runs, I wouldn't want to be a layer :)

Concrete King comes 3rd at 6s in Leicester 3.50... would have been doing very well to back that 40/1 winner there..

Did you see the first in Dundalk: I backed Mna Na Mi last time - flopped, I decided leave her alone today - romps in, ffs!

Have nae got the station myself, so didn't get to see it..

Bit of a sickener that j@utis.. ye were confident lto.. and nothing :( Drops in trip and; bad enough she wins , but did it have to be at 13/2! Why not 3/1 even.. could accept that - just about 😋

any road , good luck with Elmejor in Kempton race j ,, that Almufeed getting backed into a silly price.. looks about a 7/4 shot now, looks v short
