Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Painting pebble dash

Hi we are looking at painting our pebble dash white

I have been reading and realise it is a difficult job

We have received quotes of around €2500 for the painting

We plan on hiring a teleporter type machine to get up high

So reading up below seems to a good place to start

Treat the wall before pressurewashing with a decent fungicide ( Fleetwood do a good one as does sandtex). Power wash the wall. Hit it a 2nd time with the fungicide. then add a product called "Owatrol E-B" to your paint. It is recommended to use a mix of 3 parts paint to 1 part E-B ON THE FIRST COAT ONLY. I generally just throw in a mix of about 10:1. This will make any water based paint stick to virtually anything. Its a bit expensive but well worth it imo.

48hrs after first fungicide. power wash and 2nd fungicide can be done on the one day ( just let walls dry after power wash). Then, following day, paint

Is fleetwood the best to use, there seem to be so many fungicadal products on the market?

Just wondering what area will 5 litres do on a wall?

Will the same fungicidal product work well on the guttering and facia?

Which white paint would you recommend to use on pebble dash, will it last long before having to do again>
