2 picks in the Amateur Jockeys' Handicap in opener at Dunstall Park

    4.50 Wolves

GRIGGY ew , FOOL PROOF ew

Bit of a lottery this one I reckon. Had a luke and pen somehow landed on the two above.. Hardly worth a write up.. Worth a € ew apiece for me anyway,,, Griggy about 13/2 with book what has race priced up and Fool Proof 12s.. Early yet, and those prices be only moderate, which are available with 365.

Meanwhile in Uttoxeter there be 3 big field Handicap races in 1.50, 3,20 and 3.50.. I should like to study those - if time and motivation permits.. I fancy I should be able to find seven or so to back each way out of them three races..

A daunting task when confidence is low..

    That is all for now,

    Gluck :)

I managed to look at those 3 races, and have managed to find 5, 7 and 3 selections, respectively, for those three races. Bit too many perhaps to be going each way, but "each to his/her own" , as I like to say...

Will likely put them up anyhow; especially if Rupert and co. annoy me any further with that flippin ad... What's the golf bird doing in it - that's what I want to know.. maybe the thinking is: "If you're backing Women's golf, then you have a problem" 😂

They can F.R.O. I'll be puntin till I die!

    FFos Las

And the last shall be last, and the first shall be first

Here are a few (likely short-priced) that I think are vulnerable at prices and worth place-lays imo..

    1.20

ROCK OF FAME best price 4/1

Decent run on her 1st go over hurdles on good to soft. Didn't fare so well lto on soft/heavy.. looks as likely to either come nowhere or win. Worth consideration as a place lay if her win price stays at 4s, or goes shorter.. for 3 places, up to evs..

    3.50

    PAGEANT MATERIAL best priced 7/2

Won on heavy over half a mile shorter lto.. likely to win or come nowhere.. place lay. lay @ up to 8/11

    CHECKITSME best price 4/1

Won a poor race lto in a slow time.. Could be out with washing tomorrow I feel. Place lay.. lay @ up to 5/4

ROCK ON RITA best priced 5/1

Has had 4 runs under rules, and has done sfa. Place lay.. lay at up to 6/5

That's all me thoughts for today...

    Gluck all for tomorrow 😊

The jewry is in, and these are me picks for Fowhhss Lassss

Warning: Explicit content... Contains extreme examples of degeneracy in text form! Plus a (minor) rant of da preemptive kind..

Read on at your own peril..

NS for folk what like to go on rants about the 'decline of the forum' ..... Ye shall know them by their ways: In short - 1. They look for reasons, and aint shy about posting them, as to why their 'punting sensibilities' are affronted (on a free and gratis forum, no less.. but there's no logic to those types) , and crucially - 2. They post sfa themselves about any of their fancies.. and cry aboot 'no room at the inn' on account the 'whataspp' and 'telegram' forumses are fully subscribed..

    SPOILER ALERT

St Brigid's Day - Lá Fhéile Bríde

FFOS LAS picks.. From the Wales where the most famous Saint of all hailed, before he was kidnapped by the Irish and brung o'er here... But we'll be hearing nowt about 'White Plight' - a whole mess o' programmes on telly recently about the plight of the Jew and the Black.. fark the honky....

Al Capone got nowt on the white man... The Arian is now 'Public Enemy Number One' - no laughing matter..

But will console ourselves meself with the bread and circuses of the punting game - handing over pieces of worthless paper in hopes of getting + x% more back...

    1.20 UCANAVER , JEN'S GEORGIE

1.50 BLUMEN GLORY , TO BE SURE , FANAMIX , POTTLERATH , UNBLINKING

2.20 DESQUE DE L'ISLE , FILE ILLICO , ROSE SEA HAS , BILLINGSLEY

2.50 BALLETICON , CANFORD LIGHT , NATTY NIGHT , FEEL THE PINCH

3.20 OSCA LOCA , JURYS OUT, BROOKSWAY FAIR , MR KATANGA , POUR UNE RAISON , POWERFUL POSITION , KESTREL VALLEY , SON OF OZ

3.50 NO NO TONIC , WELL BRIEFED , FIAMETTE

    4.20 MAXIMUM DEX

Favourable mention to Kingston King in 3.20.. can't be ruled out in this.

Recommendations: 1/2 pt on ew selections (>3/1) , 1pt win on everyfink else (3/1 or shorter)

I spent a goodly amount of time studying for this meet, and I EXPECT.. fortune should favour me by my estimations...

A < 30% loss on total outlay would no be too bad neither... such losses would be filed under 'acceptable'

Ruby really pi55ing me off with that ad - "gambling is never ever etc,.." Yes Ruby, it is, cos there's fk all else to be at for diversion nowadays... I have a dream (not really - I don't recollect ever dreaming about it; but that don't matter cos one can have hopes and aspirations, without having to ponder them while in the land of nod, imo; ie a 'figure of 8ative' dream).. My dream is to be able to shout and roar at TV; without annoying anyone else in household, or neighbours/passersby.. Onliest way I know how to achieve that is by living in a big house in t' middle of nowhere, and I cannae do that when I's close to brassic... how else am I supposed to get coin to realize that ambition - without gambling - eh Rupert?

    As you were 😃

Always remember and never forget the conny rule...

Sayonara , Auf Wiedersehen , Au Revoir , C ya later agus Slán libh

Well this is the big one for me. Forget max stakes. If this was poker I'd be all in here. If this horse gets beat, I'll be out of the game until Cheltenham at the earliest.

Few nice bets lined up depending on the first one.

12.20 Newcastle, ri na farraige. Horse is currently around 11/10. I've been backing at bigger odds and even 11/10 is value in my opinion. I've backed this to win. I backed it first time out and apparently it wasn't fully primed that day. Horse is a monster at home right now and the money is down today. The penalty won't stop this. This should dot up today.

Two for me in Wolves today. 5:20 King of War 5/1 e/w is back in novice company and dropped in trip that I think will suit him; 7:20 I tried to make a case for Nagasaki Dream who ran well after the current fav Bare Grills here last time and is better off in weights today but changed my mind the last minute and backed favorite instead. He might have another one left in him. Mick's Spirit seems to have some rotten luck in most of his races but he's too short for e/w bet. GL.

One of my former alert horses is running later on and think he may have a small chance so will have a small e/w play at around the 17/2 mark.

    Shamshon in the 19:20

Autumn Trail looks interesting in the next. Has plied her trade at a higher level than this and is Rossa Ryan's only ride of the night. Worth a small punt at 11s.

Think he ended up 6th there maybe 2l or so off the winner. Not sure he was out to win tonight, must have a look back at it again later. He may actually go back in the tracker

I backed fancies in the wrong races today but ah well there's always another day. Couple of good winners and we're in the green again.
