Changing Routers but keeping same WiFi network name

I am about to change my router which at the moment is giving me WiFi in the house (wait4menetwork). If I set up the WiFi on the new router with the same network name (wait4menetwork) will my devices recognise the new SSID? Probably a simple question but one I need to check. Thanks

All other things being equal (like your devices being compatible with your new network), if you use the same SSID and password, your devices will join the new network without having to manually add them.

I did this when switching from my ISP router to a mesh network a couple of years ago. Saved me a load of hassle getting 20 or so devices up and running.

Thanks - so my new network name with be wait4menetwork (fictional of course!) with the exact same password and hopefully a seamless switch out/switch in of routers
