Gimlet?

Looking for a 4 or 5mm one. For fence posts / trees. Only going in an inch or so. But, I'd like something made to keep going. (Amazon's full of plastic handled things)

Pondering getting one of these welded to a T bar handle?

I knew a guy who would say someone was a gimlet. I asked him what he meant one time, and he said "a small boring tool".

Why bother with a gimlet, go for a good old fashioned hand brace and a bit to suit. The brace bits with a tapered shank are usually picked up for very little at car boot sales and unless completely abused are easily sharpened with a file.

Jack; I'd considered hand drills. But, we're talking trail cams. Just the other day, I was hanging onto a tree for dear life, swinging out over a wet drain, trying desperately not to drop a €200.00 cam in it. Believe me, One hand is a luxury in that kind of situation.
