Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will it work if I paint over exterior mosaic render (brand: Sempre Marmare)?

The previous owner of my house coated it in a layer of depressing turd coloured rocks. He helpfully left some buckets of the stuff behind in the shed, so I know its called Sempre Marmare mosaic render. The internet tells be its made of a mix of resins and coloured quartz. What I haven't been able to find out is, can I paint over it? Has anyone has any experience covering up this stuff? Can I use regular exterior paint or do I need to get out my chisel and a hammer and start chipping it off?

I'd assume so. As it's a render, it's likely to be quite structurally sound and should take paint well. You could maybe coat it in a suitable bonding agent such as watered-down SBR, but do not use PVA primer as a bond-coat. Frankly I'd try paint it direct first.
