Not sure if this has been brought up before but can a mechanism be introduced for locking threads after an amount of time since the last post? Over in the Motors forum, there has been a spate of 10 year old thread revivals for absolute nonsense posts and nothing has been said/done by Mods.

Surely after a year of having nothing posted, then a thread can be locked and the OP allowed to request it reopened by a Mod if necessary.

    Thoughts on this?
