EWSS affecting my tax paid in 2020

I underpaid tax in 2020 by over 1300€. My previous employer used EWSS help during the pandemic. As my salary was only €32500 per annum, it seems crazy that my tax underpayment is so high?!

    Would this be accurate?

Seems reasonable for TWSS (EWSS does not effect employees). Assuming 32.5k was your contract salary, you were probably paying tax at lower rate, so 28.5% payable (20+4+4.5) on the upper part of your earnings. You only need to have received ~4.5k in subsidy to generate a tax bill at that rate. Not counting that week 1/month1 basis was applied from June to complicate matters. A lot of assumptions but you should be able to tell if it is reasonable.
