Does anyone have experience with Soviet Molnija watches? I was recently made aware of the brand and like what I've seen, especially the regulators.

Are they heavily modified like Raketa watches? Anything I should look out for?

There's actually not that much modification required to turn an existing movement into a regulator. You see a few converted pocketwatches on ebay. Russian watches are an interesting entry into mechanical watches. They're cheap and can be funky to look at and something a little different. I wouldn't expect great timekeeping though you can get lucky.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
