How many cases are needed before a primary class is closed/sent home?

My childs class now has a 5 cases in a week, but nothing said about staying home/schooling from home.

HSE simply don't care any more it seems, so schools have to carry on regardless.

yeah its strange. some restrictions are still in place (eg staggered opening/closing times/breaks/wearing masks) but others are just gone.

Schools have been told to keep everything in place until at least mid-Feb. As the system has been made as difficult as possible to get children PCR tests and to have such cases recorded as school outbreaks and due to the DES instructing schools not to close classes to in-person learning, it's almost impossible to return to online learning, no matter how many cases are in one room.
