    1.30 Lingfield CITYZEN SERG Nap

    2.30 WINNETKA

    4.00 JEREMIAH JOHNSON , PLACATED

    4.30 Southwell VAN DIJK

Quick look, and early doors these five will do for €1 ew and a couple of 10c ew Yang Keys 😃.. don't know what price they'll be, but I'd give them all solid claims; well, apart from Van Dijk, who's a hopeful pick, on the back of a long enough run of poor form...

    Gluck 😊

Winnetka is in my notebook too, I'm gonna look at that one now.

Okay... I don't like that it's over 6f, I have a feeling that he wants further.

Deploy The Getaway (Down Royal 13.10)...funny feeling this'll be a heartbreaker.

    Walk In Clover (Leicester 14.50)

    Tokay Dokey (Leicester 15.50)

    5/1 treble.

Do you think that Pablo Del Pueblo in 2:30 Lingers is a worthy odds on favorite? Okay, he won his first handicap race but failed to reproduced that twice, last time 7f probably didn't suit him, but 10/11, really?

Looks a deserving favourite based on that November C & D win.. Last run over 7 at the course would #probably have seen him go very close were it a 6f race..

#He's usually held up, so probably 6fs is too fast-paced for him to try and lead today, but not out of the question.. could be a new tactic perhaps 😊

He does have his kinks though - things like swerving left or right at the start. He might be held up and be obliged to go out wide (which may not hinder his chances)

If he was the only horse ya looked at in this race, you would think he should be favourite alright... Likely be held up, but the possibility he may try lead, which means more to take into account if ya wanted to lay him, but more reasons to be cheerful if ya want to be on him..

Be happy to be on Pablo Del Pueblo (if I fancied him strong enough) at 5/4 or bigger, but 'odds on' looks skimpy.. I do think he can win today, but too short for me..

My pick Winnetka is one who doesn't hold any outstanding or obvious claims - form at the track, and the trip, aint great overall. Topweight in a handicap, plus Luke Morris up, as well as being a reasonable price; is enough for me to be hoping for a place here anyroad 😆

4:00 Lingfield Jeremiah J & Placated are meeting on the same terms again and both with chances. Another two of interest are Fred Bear and Yorktown, both produced very strong finishes lto but that was over 12f, today's race is 10f although Yorktown has old form over 10. Fred Bear ran yesterday at kempton, is this race coming not too soon for him, plus he's losing his jockey with a claim, this is a weaker race but he's effectively carrying a stone more... Compass Point is the only CD winner in this race but he's the top weight and might find it hard.

PP is paying 4 places in the races and I'm itching to have a bet in it. Decisions decisions...

Didn't look at that race too hard j - not exactly lumping on 😃 Just hoping for good runs from my two; who are both good prices, and hold good claims on the formbook = good enough for me.. All those 3 you mentioned are well supported today.. I don't think Compass Point is good enough - C & D win was in a slow time, Fred Bear doesn't really have much flat form to go on, plus I aint a massive fan of Trevor Whelan... Looks like Yorktown wants further; if going by his last run over 12f when he was staying on... form before that is nothing to write home about... He might be staying on at the end, but I can't see him winning..

Nonetheless, I hope all three of them continue to see some support; just so others can drift out to even better prices 😁

Good luck with your picks today j@utis - hopefully some go well and give ya a decent run for ya money 😋

No joy with Cityzen Serg in 1.30.

I'm on these 3 today: 4:00 Lin Jeremiah 8/1 yeah :D 4:30 South Cussack 7/1 came close here last time, off the same mark today; 7:30 South Patsy Fagan 9/4 I suspect he might have one more in him.

8:00 Southwell is a hot 5f affair and I'm temped to have nibble in that too but first we'll see how the day goes. GL.

Pablo wins easy enough (only had one real challenger) making all in the 2.30 just gone, and Winnetka ran out of the places.. WD anyone who had faith in the jolly..

    four o'clock fallout

Placated beaten a short head for the win ☹️

Looks It looked like Jeremiah got squeezed out of it near the end for a place, but I pretty sure he got 4th (Paddy were going four places there I think, even though there was only 11 left after the non) ... Not a great result, but not a bad one neither 😤

reckon I would have found that 18/1 shot... iff I had given the field a more thorough look 😂

Unlucky with Cusack... Beat 10 out of 11 of them home, but Al Qaasim too good.

Don't fancy Edraak at all in the next, Eagleway looks a great price at 2/1

    Great ride by Doyle there

Had no bet there, but would have struggled to make a case for that Mehmento (7/2 winner of 6o'c); even at the 5/1 Opening Show price.

Small wager on Yasmin From York in the 6.30

All over Triggered in the 7.30, think he'll outstay the others at the finish

Getting well backed now, was on at 11/4 earlier, hopefully does the biz

Surprised at the price of Phoenix Star in 8.00, e/w bet for me at 12s with PP paying four places

Place, place and a win, good day afterall. I didn't look at the last again and probably for the better, 33/1 shot is not something I'd go for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,186 ✭✭✭standardg60

Yeah still wouldn't have backed that even knowing the result :-)

Phoenix came third so got a bit back to fight again
