Just trying to get some perspective - opinions on something that happened to my son last Sat

He was traveling home from work (small B road) is his car (learner driver) and all of a sudden he was faced with a river of cow slurry that was literally flowing out from a local farm and out on the road - must have been some sort of accident in the farm yard - but he drove through a river of it - by the time he realised what is was he was half way through it

bottom line it destroyed his car and two car washes later and he can’t get the smell out of the car - might need a professional cleaning and that includes underneath - we have photos that shows the damage

he is not a person that would get confrontational but he really feels hard done here and was wondering if the farmer should pay for the damage caused by slurry to his car

    welcome any opinions or advice

    Thanks

    Paul

Did he stop discuss it with the farm owner , take photos of the state of the road and his car at the time?

Do you know the farmer? If hes a learner he would have a witness, if he wasn't accompanied I'd leave it in case the farmer points out the obvious
