New mixer tap gives reduced hot flow

Kitchen sink had good cold and hot flow. New mixer tap was fitted. Cold flow as before, but very poor flow of hot water.

Other sinks have good hot flow. Installer said that narrow bore flexible connections to the mixer were the reason and we

would get used to it. Would changing the flexible connectors to a wider bore help ? Or change the mixer tap entirely ?

There are taps designed for high pressure systems and taps designed for low pressure systems. In Ireland we use low pressure taps unless the water in your home is pumped.

Most likely the incorrect tap was purchased
