Family Holiday with Teens - France v Greece v Italy - help deciding!

OK, so we haven't been abroad since 2019 and we are determined to go this Summer if at all possible.

We are 2 Adults (2 Doses Pfizer plus Booster - last dose Dec 21) and 2 Kids aged 12 and 15 (2 Doses Pfizer - last dose Sept 21).

We have a Booking made to go to France on the Ferry plus Campsites which has been rolled over since 2020. We have done this type of holiday many times.

Husband has been saying for a while now that he would prefer to go somewhere hotter either Greece or Italy. Eldest is now saying that he is too old for Campsites.

Eldest is in JC so we will wait for JC Timetable before making any changes. But I want to be ready to make or confirm bookings when that happens. Want to travel end of June into July

I don't have a problem with Covid testing pre-arrival if necessary but I would prefer not to need regular testing while there just to eat outdoors or go into a shop etc

So, which of France, Greece or Italy gives us the most realistic chance of the least stressful holiday ?

In particular given that the kids more than likely won't be boosted before we go and it will be more than 9 months since their second Doses.

Maybe a bit too much crystal ball gazing but any advice appreciated !

Greece would probe the least expensive holiday of the 3.

I suppose it depends on their interests. I take it the teen is saying "too old" as they don't want to partake in the campsite activities and so on?

Personally, I get bored on a purely "sun" holiday, in which case my vote would go to Italy as you'll have opportunity of easier sightseeing if you were to locate yourself within driving distance of, say, Rome, or Florence.

I would hazard a guess that many of the travel / indoors restrictions will be lifted by summer, particularly in countries that very much rely on tourism (again thinking of Greece here- currently no vaccination required to enter country, but is for many indoor activities).

    Tldr

    Ease: Greece

    Activities: Italy.

    Thanks Tea and Coffee.

Currently we are strongly considering changing from France to Greece.

We are stuck with end of June for Dates. This means that the Kids Covid Certs will have expired for travel purposes (270+ days since 2nd dose) and no sign of Boosters for this Age group in Ireland.

We should be able to enter Greece with negative tests (assuming they continue to allow that) and internally Greece only puts an expiry on Covid Certs for ages 18+ who are not boosted.

So, definitely for ease and not having the kids needing to do regular testing once in the Country, Greece is coming out on top for us.
