Tuscon PHEV dead - flat battery ?

Went to turn on car today ,

Dash switched on , then gave error messages for , brake system error , steering wheel error , key not found and then died completely, won't start or anything function. Can't even unlock boot.

Reading the manual - it references the 12v battery reset switch but I'd be dammed if it's on this car as I've searched high and low and even pulled down seats and searched in boot.

Is good old fashioned jump start next thing to do, the manual specificies a jump start but after a jump start says again to press this bloody 12v reset switch which Im fairly certain at this stage ain't in the car.

I thought probably incorrectly if a PHEV was dead you could least plug it in and charge to get access to radio and dash controls. But seems jump start is only option.

Very strange alright. Have you no roadside recovery you can contact. I thought Hyundai done a seal with the AA or someone for that. Either that or ring the garage where you bought it first thing tomorrow morning and get them to come have a look at it. Not sure I would risk jump starting it.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I think the PHEV and HEV have different set ups, is there a PHEV section in the manual? AFAIK the HEV uses part of the 'main' battery for 12V which the 'battery reset' switch recharges, the PHEV has a normal battery in the boot which you can recharge/jump.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Manual is bit rubbish in general , doesn't show half specific things in it for the relevant models. This is image for jump starting , from what I can tell there is a connection point above the fuse box for + terminal which must be linked to 12v battery in boot somehow.

This is under the bonnet , guessing this black box is connection point , black box itself is fuse box, when you pop top off , there is a metal connector , which I think may be where to jump it , seems very off connecting 12v jump to what is a fuse box though, manuals image could be better.
