Rang to cancel virgin BB/TV and somehow was talked into staying with them. Had planned on moving to sky( who said we have FTTH but on eir network). Virgin guy said that speeds wouldn't be guaranteed as copper for the last bit and sky are leasing the line? Was he BSing me? Virgin have been grand the past 2 years, happy with the speeds, and because WFH, played it safe and stayed with them. My partner says that I was sales-talked

FTTH - is fibre to you house so Virgin were lying.

FTTC - is fibre to the cabinet and then Copper from there to your house.

Spoke to sky rep subsequently and he said risk might have to dig garden etc to connect fibre inside. But we'd have FTTH, even if a delay of a week or 2. Yeah , the Virgin guy was totally lying about the copper.
