Just in case I don't get a chance to start it later, or I forget about these 2 - might be as well off! 😋

A couple of tentative ones at Lingfield in the NH sphere..

    12.50 PUMP IT UP

Partly primarily (why I had a look, but not without a chance on further inspection😊) cos Elvis Costello has been in the news lately 😂 16s on the probable/tissue sp... Some big stables represented here, and plenty of in-form horses too.. will chance Richard Spencer's 4yr old, as she showed improved form on her third hurdles' outing lto, than what she showed in her first 2 over sticks. It was on softer ground than the two previous runs also. Going tomorrow is described as heavy (inspection 'precautionary inspection' 😏 @ 9am)... She has a flat win to her name on heavy ground from last August at Windsor over 11 and a bit furlongs, on heavy ground, so that bodes well.. 16s quoted as the probable sp, and even at 11s or bigger, this one is interesting enough...

    4.08 ZHIGULI

The likely top two in the betting Neil The Legend and Chambard have outstanding claims here, and it's hard to split them. The selection has had 3 chase outings, with all 3 looking respectable, but this will be the first time Gary Moore's horse will have had run on heavy ground over the fences, and Zhiguli has had a couple of decent runs at this sort of trip, on heavy ground, over hurdles.. About five to one in the predicted betting, and this is only of moderate value I feel.

Hopefully meeting will go ahead. If the prices are okay, I think I'll do €1 win on each, and a €2 each way double..

    Gluck 😊

Anything on the flat? with 3 flat meetings today, I don't know where to start. Let's go with the first in Southwell, Onealedge, 9/2, her excuse last time was being a bit rusty.

No joy in the first. 3:25 Southwell Palifico 8/1 is interesting ex-irish recruit but pity it's only 7 runners race, would've gone e/w otherwise, so no bet.

Did a double of On The Blind Side (14.25 LING) & Resumption (16.30 NEWC) last night.

Was hit with two Rule 4s this morning so down to a touch over 2s.

    4.45 Dundalk

    2 picks here

ADAPT TO DAN 5/2 PP/Boyles win

An easy winner over C & D last week. Has a few more lbs to carry than his lto run,; with something along the lines of a 6lb penalty it seems, but that race was ran in a fast time, and, as long as he can find something to chase early on, Adapt To Dan could be a convincing winner here once again. 2/1 looks about his price, so this 6yr old is a bit of value at the available odds.

    JACKMEL 25/1 gen ew

A C & D winner in very poor form of late. Nonetheless, he has been dropping down the weights. Hasn't been fancied for quite a while, and this looks the case today as well. On a good day he'd have a squeak, and perhaps his turn is coming. Couldn't have him at any less than 14s, but, at 25/1, and with 4 places on offer, I'd rather not leave him go unbacked....

That's my 'flat' offering, for now at least 😊 Got no inspiration looking at Southwell or Newcastle, so a rare sortie into the Irish racing arena was called for....

Adapt to Dan romped up home last time but he needs another career best again to win in 4:45 Dundalk. I'm looking for a long shot and I think Riliya can go close again of the same mark as last 2 outings, after winning over CD earlier.

I also backed Kadinnka (good last run, trainer's strike rate) in 6:45 and Moshammer (pranced in on his maiden lto, might be on the right mark first time in hdc company) in 7:15, both shorties but I have a free bet on PP, so it's costing me nothing today.

Nah, not today. Resumption runs at 4:00, in 3 horse race. You know what they say about 3 horse races? - Always bet on the outsider 🤣 shall we?

Don't really have any opinion/s on most of Dundalk's races.. Think MNA NA MHI might put it up to JP's fav Kadinnka in the 6.45 race, based on the first of her 2 course runs, when coming second and staying on over 6fs; but has been backed accordingly, and now trades at a not overly generous 7/2. Might could be the "Meath Women" beat the County Meath trainer into second here. 😁

Dundalk is basically point and shoot sort of picks.

That maiden is definitely very hot affair with a couple of very interesting newcomers from O'Brien's and Harrington's stables.

I have Mna Na... in my notebook too based on her first run but last time she was reported to have some respiratory issues, that might have knocked her back, but we shall see.

Zhiguli romps home at 16/5 in 4.08

Had no bet as was hoping he'd be a lot bigger.. Was about 3s when I looked this morn, so I left him off.. can't win back em all 😭

yeap, Dundalk is impossible to solve most of the time. I was on the wrong McAuley's horse in the last, Kadinnka ran a good race but finished third again, Riliya got loads of market support down to 9/2 from 7/1 when I got on, only to finish somewhere down the field.

Palifico was my closest call, I'm glad she didn't win or I'd be kicking myself for not having money on her, finished 2nd @12/1.
