Chill Insurance - document upload - insurance cancelled !?

Took out a policy though Chill for motor insurance (with Zurich).

Didn't receive text to upload my documentation so I emailed it.

Chill then sent me the text so I uploaded the docs via the bot on their website.

I was then contacted again by Chill so I emailed the documents in a second time.

I've just received a registered letter from Zurich saying my policy had been cancelled as they have not received the required documentation.

Has anyone had a similar experience with Chill or am I just unlucky ?

You want to get back onto Chill ASAP, having a cancelled insurance policy is a big issue and will cause you hassle when trying to get another insurance policy

    Thanks very much for that.

Turns out the No Claims I had uploaded was dated Sep 2021 and they said that wasn't current enough so they had it down as a missing document.

Oddly I haven't had to supply a No Claims letter for years, and definitely haven't had an issue with any being out of date.

Which is odd as Chill (just like Zurich themselves and pretty much every insurer) recognises a NCB for two years.

Did you have another insurance policy between September 2021 and the taking up of this policy?

Had the same problem with their portal, uploaded everything but for whatever reason Chill didn't get them or were missing one document. Insurance cancelled. Got on to them and they could see documents were actually uploaded... It's an extremely poor portal in fairness. It's not very clear on what's been uploaded and what has not.

Chill sorted it for me anyway.

Got them a NCB letter from previous insurer dated today. Now they're saying that won't do and they need a Cancelled NCB letter.

Will not be going with Chill in future.
