Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Folks - Just looking for advise on best lubricant to use on mountain bike chain & sprockets, cycling on tarred back roads mainly, some dirt tracks in summer.

    Thanks.

I like to use Weldtite TF2 Extreme. Been using this for years with no issues. Technically I should be using dry or wet depending on conditions but honestly I usually use the wet lube and no major issues - chain and parts have lasted years so far - I probably degrease every 5/10 rides depending on the state of the chain.

If you're mainly staying out of the wet, obviously go for dry lube.

You probably shouldn't lube the sprockets - just the chain.

    Decent vid here:

Mucoff wet for me, we're in Ireland the trail will be wet somewhere.

Avoid Halfords wet, it's like treacle and binds everything.

I only used Muc-off wet once, and it was a fecker to clean the chain afterwards.

Now I stick with dry regardless, and just apply more regularly
