How do you work out lampshade sizes when buying?

    Hello,

    I am trying to buy lampshades for an apartment I'm moving into and tried this morning to buy some from Next Ireland but I have no idea how to understand their size chart and tried asking them but still don't understand it. Has anybody bought lampshades from them? How do you work out the size? Is there anywhere better to get lampshades? It's my first move out so I don't have a clue. I would really love some help.
